Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting iamnvna.com. Your privacy is important to me. This policy explains what information this site collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: very little. Anonymous visit counts, plus what you choose to send when you leave a comment or a message.
1. Reading the site
You can read everything here without giving me any information. There's no advertising, no tracking cookies, and no newsletter. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google or anyone else.
To see which essays people read, the site uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that Utopia Group runs on its own server. It's not Google Analytics. Umami counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. For each visit it records the page, the site that sent you here, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and approximate location (country, region and city). Your IP address is used to work out that location and is not stored. I only ever see these numbers in total, never as a profile of a person.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles every request to it. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. I don't use that information to identify or follow you.
2. Leaving a comment
When you leave a comment, I keep:
- the name you enter
- your comment
- the date and time you posted it
- a scrambled version of your IP address
The scrambled IP address (a one-way hash) can't be turned back into your IP address. I use it only to stop the same person posting too many comments at once.
Before a comment is saved, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it came from a person and not a bot. You can read how that works in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Every comment is reviewed before it appears. When a new one arrives, I get a notification on Telegram with your name and comment. Once approved, your name, comment and date are shown publicly under the essay. If I don't approve a comment, I delete it.
3. Sending me a message
When you use the form on the Contact page, I keep your name, email address, message, the time you sent it, and the same scrambled IP address as above. The same Cloudflare Turnstile check applies, and I get a Telegram notification with your name, email and message.
Messages are private. I use your email address only to reply to you, and I delete messages once I no longer need them.
4. How I use your information
Only to show your comment, answer your message, keep spam out, and see which pages get read. I do not share, sell, or rent your information to anyone.
5. Third-party links
This site links to other websites, including my social profiles. I'm not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
6. Data security
I take reasonable steps to protect what's stored here, but no system is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
You can ask me to:
- tell you what I have stored about you
- change or delete your comment or message
Use the form on the Contact page and tell me the essay and the name you used.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated occasionally. If anything major changes, I'll update the date above.
